What a legend
Greg, our Maitahi Outrigger Canoe Club Kaumatua, gave us 15 years of his extraordinary dedication and commitment to the sport and all those he paddled with. Always with enthusiasm – sometimes with strident vigour and always with his enormous love for Waka Ama.
We have all benefitted from his contributions to the maintenance and development of the fleet and all that goes with it. And his compassion for those who needed support.
Greg loved all aspects of paddling – from the regular to the fierce competition in a wide variety of crews across the motu and beyond.
Our huge Nga Mihi and Arohanui Greg – you will be with us for a long time ahead – enjoying your paddles in the sky.
