All races are held in Kerr Bay, Lake Rotoiti, on an M-shaped course which has lots of turns. The course is visible from the shore at all times, so makes for great spectator viewing.

Only the W6 mens', women's and mixed categories are three stage races. Starts will be handicapped and crews can change some paddlers between each race.

Fun race at lunchtime

Spectators, family, friends and locals are welcome to take part in fun races in the lunchtime break – please register your interest at the registration tent. There will be T-shirts for sale (cash and internet banking) and a BBQ sausage sizzle available.

Come prepared!

Remember this is an alpine event and the weather can be much colder than at sea level – also we share the lake with sandflies, wasps, and bumble bees - if allergic, please come prepared!

No Dogs & No freedom camping

Please note that dogs are not permitted in Kerr Bay, as it is in a National Park. Freedom camping is not permitted at the lake (however, there is a DOC camping ground at Kerr Bay).
