Apologies for the short notice but the fantastic annual event hosted by Motueka is this Sunday. Details below from Callum.
This paddle event is in memory of Bill Monahan & Khema Paala (KP) two legend’s of waka who have both contributed in many ways to the Motueka Waka Ama Club and made their presence known on te tai o Aorere.
You didn’t need to have known Bill or KP to come and join in! We invite all willing to show remembrance and enjoy the spirit of paddling on Sunday 1st of May at the North of Kaiteretere.
2x 5km races will be run up towards Tokangawhā and back (weather permitting) followed by a shared Kai and bbq put on by Motueka Waka ama club,feel free to bring something to contribute

9:45 ~ RACE 1 *SMALL CRAFT* (all divisions and craft welcome eg: Kayak,Ski,Sup,Waka)
10:45 ~W6/W12 Waka
12:00 ~ Kai/Whakawhanunatanga/Prize giving (Times subject to change due to “Wakatime”)
