Please note that the fundraiser for Pip has been postponed and rescheduled for January 22nd

A fundraising day has been planned on 4th December for the lovely Pip Tavite whose smiling face is so familiar around the marina. Details are on the Facebook page below and please see the message to steerers and club members from Zoe below the picture :

Kia ora Maitahi steerers and members.

Most of you will have seen/heard the news about Pip Tavite and her cancer diagnosis. We are all gutted for her and her whanau.

A paddle-athon has been organised 4 December, sunrise to sunset. This is to help fundraise for Pip’s upcoming treatment. There will be paddles for koha, raffles and Kai for koha on the day.

I am asking if any of you would be available Friday 3 December to assist with getting the 4 Waka to the beach and then on Saturday if any of you would be able to spare some time to come to Tahuna to take paddlers out. We may have all 4 Waka or only one but many hands make light work. And a chance to help our Pippy.

Waka to go to the beach 4.30ish Friday.

Thanks and let me know either text 021923611 or email [email protected] if you can

  1. Help Friday
  2. Time you would be able to help Saturday.
    Thank you in advance.
P.S. I know this conflicts with the school group on the same day so totally understand if you are already committed.

Its never too early or too late to start paddling waka ama
