We sometimes get a call from Todd and Lee-Anne at Waka Abel Tasman to help relocate waka if they have dropped groups off in the Abel Tasman National Park and need the waka bought back. Its amazing how many Maitahi members can ‘reorganise’ their work day and help out.
Tuesday saw 12 paddlers from Maitahi helping to bring back three OC12s from Anchorage to Kaiteriteri. It is a great experience. The day was perfect, still and clear and sunny. A typical day in the Abel Tasman National Park.
