Last weekend we did one of our annual fund raising events – the Weetbix Tryalthalon. Each year we raise the marques on the Friday night before the event. This year we were on standby to take them down again on Saturday as there was talk of the event being cancelled because of the heavy rain warning. Fortunately, the event was not cancelled and the day started of drizzly and just became finer and warmer.
On the Sunday 10 of us received radios and were cycle marshals for the cycling part of the event. What a privilege to be able witness the joy of these kids as they neared the finish line and the the effort they put into it. Just amazing.
We’ll be back next year!
