The second edition of the Te Tauihu Winter Series will take place in Picton on Sunday 14th August.
Those who went (or even read about) the first day over in Pohara will know that it’s a great day out and we always have as much fun at Picton as we do in Golden Bay.
The details are as follows : (all times subject to confirmation by trailer tower and race captain)
Saturday 13th August 10.00 – de-rig and load (after morning paddling)
Sunday 14th August 07.30 – unload and race rig at Shelley Beach, paddle to Picton Foreshore
(trailer parking at marina)
09.00 – karakia and race briefing
13.00 (approx) – de-rig and load post race
16.00 (approx) – unload and rig at Nelson marina
As with the Golden Bay edition we will be looking for someone to tow the trailer and a Race Captain on the day. Jacqi and Katie filled those roles brilliantly last time.
The racing at Picton is always fun and brilliantly organised by Mike and Anisha. Dolphins are regular race companions and it’s always a fun day out. An invitation is out on Teamer so get the date in your diaries and enjoy !
