16 March 2022 – Update

The International Va’a Federation has advised that vaccination will not be required to attend the World Sprints in Windsor, UK. Therefore Waka Ama NZ is accepting intents for club teams who wish to attend the World Club Champs. Clubs can now include non-vaccinated paddlers in their teams.

If clubs wish to enter additional teams, clubs have from now until the 20th of March to do so. Please attached pānui with more all information (including event information) and club intent form. If you have any questions please contact [email protected]

  • Clubs can now include non-vaccinated paddlers in their teams
  • Clubs should be aware of the travel requirements to travel to the UK and return to NZ. 
  • These travel links have been provided in the attached pānui below
  • If clubs wish to enter additional teams clubs have from now until the 20th of March (to avoid penalties) to submit a team intent
  • Intents will only be accepted for those grades under quota V6= 6, V12 = 3
  • Club Team Intent form is attached below –  intents will be processed on a first in first serve basis
  • Once a quota is filled – no further intents will be accepted

  • Any club intents received after the 20th March there is a $100 USD late fee. 
  • All Paddlers must be fully vaccinated in order to attend the April Event under the COVID Protection Framework and Waka Ama NZ COVID-19 Events Policy
    • This event is not compulsory for Club Teams
