Entries from North Island clubs to Tuna e Hoe on 11th-12th February are reaching unprecedented levels, with 9 crews already having entered and the prospect of more to come in the New Year. It should be a fantastic event this year, hopefully as good as last year’s which was the best one I can remember.
It is vital that any club crews wanting to enter do so as soon as possible. There is already huge demand on club waka and we are duty bound to find canoes for our waka whanau travelling from Wellington, Napier, Auckland and elsewhere. At the rate we are going we may hit the limit on entries before the closing date and we have not yet had any entries from South Island clubs apart from a handful from MOCC.
