Pan Pacific Masters Games 2024
There has already been a little bit of talk about some crews being interested in a jaunt to the Gold Coast in November, so here are some event details from the official website (also pasted below).
This will be down to crews to organise and enter themselves but please notify Tony of any intention to go so he can help co-ordinate if multiple crews make the trip.

Age Requirements
- Age is determined as at Friday 1 November 2024
- Minimum age for competition is 30 years
Age Divisions
For Individual Races (OC1, OC2, V1)
- Men: 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+
- Women: 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+
- Mixed: 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+
For Team Boats and Relay Races
- OC6 – 180+, 240+, 300+, 360+, 420+
- OC1/V1 Relays – 90+, 120+, 150+, 180+
- OC2 Relays – 180+, 240+, 300+, 350+
- V12 Mixed – 360+, 480+, 600+, 720+, 840+

Fees
Each competitor is required to pay the Games Fee once and then the Sport Fee for each sport in which they register.

Gold Coast Outrigger Canoe Club
The Gold Coast’s spectacular network of waterways will provide a stunning environment for participants in seven sports at this year’s Pan Pacific Masters Games. Known as a beautiful expanse of easily accessible calm water, the Broadwater is a popular spot for water enthusiasts, making it the ideal location for the outrigger canoeing, ski and stand up paddling competitions.

Entries Close
- Team entries close: Monday 21 October 2024 (11:59pm AEST)
- Individual entries into existing teams close: Monday 21 October 2024 (11:59pm AEST) and a final crew list must be submitted (crew list template – coming soon!).
Additional Information
- Some events will be run simultaneously so participants must choose which events they will be racing (eg. a participant may only compete in one of the following: OC1, OC2, or V1 in the 6km Iron Race on Saturday, 12km Iron on Sunday). Please see the combined schedule above to ensure you have no clashes.
- Each crew is required to have a team manager who will register your crew name via the team manager portal prior to any competitor registrations for team entries.
- Once the crew is created, team managers can register competitors via the team manager portal or individuals can register themselves via the Competitor Entry Form.
- If you are interested in paddling but do not have a crew, please use our Sports Bulletin Board to advertise your availability or search for a crew/team looking for paddlers. Alternatively if your team is short paddlers please use the Sports Bulletin Board to advertise for paddlers or look for available individuals. You can also indicate your interest via the registration form.
- A final crew list for all OC6 (6 people), V12 (12 people) and Team Relay races must be submitted to the Sport Convenor by Monday 21 October 2024 (crew list template – coming soon!).
- Canoes available to hire for Interstate and International crews – please apply via the organiser’s email address below.
- Participants must register at the Games Village prior to competing.
- Races will consist of a maximum of six paddlers for OC6, and two paddlers for OC2 races.
- The 9km relay will consist of teams of three for the OC1, VI and teams of 6 for the OC2 with each team to complete a lap of the 3km course.
- The mixed OC6 division must be a 50/50 split – three female and three male paddlers (or never more male than female).
- The regatta is presented by the Gold Coast Outrigger Canoe Club and sanctioned by the Australian Outrigger Canoe Racing Association (AOCRA).
