Outward Bound has a number of opportunities for our Waka Ama whānau in 2023 . You can find out more details at Waka Ama NZ.
This is a fantastic experience for waka ama paddlers of any age. Four Maitahi members have been to Outward Bound since 2015: Jan Blythe, Linda Heath, Kilmeny Stevens & Greg Buck. The dates they have funding available in 2023 are:
CLASSIC 21 DAYS (18 – 26 YEAR OLD’S) :
- 4th May – 24th May 2023
- 31st May – 20th June 2023
- 29th July – 18th August 2023
- 26th August – 15th September 2023
- 4th November – 24th November 2023
MASTERS 21 DAYS (27 YEARS OLD AND ABOVE) :
- 31st May – 20th June 2023
It is possible to stretch that 27+ quite a long way.
