Sunday Social Activity Update
On December 4th 2021, our current kōmiti unanimously agreed that our club would be following the option under the Covid-19 Protection Framework, to NOT check vaccine passports.
This framework may change for specific club activities or events. Members need to take responsibility for their own safety and comfort levels and check the framework before attendance. MOCC events or activities will clearly state if the framework differs from NOT checking MVP. This is one example.
Damian and Katie have organised our Club Sunday Social opportunity for over five years. From Sunday 16th January 2022, they have requested that this activity proceed under the Covid-19 Protection Framework of CHECK My Vaccine Pass (MVP)
Sunday Social Paddles require vaccine pass for over 12yrs
Last year Damian and Katie began to receive feedback from regular participants of our clubs Sunday Social activity. Some members had voiced that they would prefer to attend knowing that they were paddling with other vaccinated paddlers. As this activity often hosts manuhiri from around the motu, Damian and Katie felt that this was a reasonable request.
What participants need to know when attending the MOCC Sunday Social Activity from Sunday 16th January 2022.
Vaccine Passes are needed for those 12-years and over to participate in this activity. This is for all people within our club premises, paddling or observing.
You need to show that you are fully vaccinated by allowing your My Vaccine Pass (MVP) to be scanned or sighted by the activity organiser.
Sign in or scan in using the NZ Covid Tracer QR code.
Facemask are encouraged when not paddling.
