Autumn Cleaning Day

Maitahi OCC Cleaning day went off wonderfully thank you members. We were lucky this weekend with sunshine, no wind and a great turn out.

These pics are just some of the groups, individuals and pairs who worked away at maintaining our biggest assets ; our waka and associated gear.

Too many names to mention, so apologies for anyone missed by name in the photos, you know who you are and we thank you for your input ( many hands……….).

Some were there extra early, thanks Greg Buck for weed-wacking the grass in our waka parking area, around the OC2 stand (and even for our sister club). The OC2’s were cleaned also.

Our “new” drybag/safety bags are all go.

The 4 Yellow are set up for OC6 and the two smaller orange ones are for OC2.

All bags contain: 1 x flare, 1 x lashing roll, 6 x ponchos (for wind/chill protection in an emergency), 6 x silver emergency blankets (for use in an emergency) and a multi-tool or cutting tool.
