While Nelson shivers, Jan and Carol have been waving the New Zealand/Aotearoa/Nelson/Maitahi flag in sunny (most of the time) Samoa. We have had a couple of brief missives from Jan about their adventures but I think they have been enjoying every minute of the experience, which goes far beyond just the racing itself. How many people can say they have been to a World Championship in any sport ?!
In their V6 Master 70 race they came in fourth, just outside the medal placings.
The numbers only tell the bare bones of the story. The pictures below tell some of the rest of it but we will have to wait until they return to get the full story. I think Jan is in Seat 2 and Carol in Seat 4. They have done their best to hide their faces in the pics I could find !
